This 21-word B1-C1 deck takes competition and sport vocabulary up a level: describe a team sweeping the competition (sweep, demolish) or another side finally giving up (surrender, concede), and understand a commentator saying someone outshines the rest (outdo, outshine) or cheats in a contest (cheat). Use these words to talk about a campaign, face a tough challenge head-on (confront, tackle), or talk about striving for and prevailing at your goal (strive, prevail).
