This A0–A1 deck uses 35 essential words to help you talk simply about the events happening around you: when something starts and ends, who wins a match, what happens at a party or a contest. The words come from the most frequent English nouns and verbs — time, change, result, surprise — so beginners can put them to active use right away. As part one of the series, it's the ideal foundation before moving on to more detailed event vocabulary.
