Q+A cards: practice real dialogues
A Q+A card is not word translation. There is a question on the front and an answer on the back — both in the language you learn. You practice like a real conversation: a question comes, you answer.
In this example a Hungarian learner is practising English — on your own cards it's your language and the language you're learning.

What is a Q+A card?
A classic flashcard holds one word and its translation. A Q+A card holds a small piece of dialogue: a question and an answer.
From these cards you can build and practice whole conversations — introductions, shopping, ordering food, work phrases.
Two modes — you choose how much help you get
The same card can be practiced in two ways. The difference is a single thing: what you see first on the back.
Pro mode
- The back shows the answer in the language you learn: “Fine, thank you.”
- The meaning in your own language waits behind the eye icon, if you get stuck.
Choose this when you feel confident and want to stay in the target language.
Assisted mode
- The back first shows what the answer means in your own language.
- The target sentence hides behind the eye icon — you say it first, then check.
Choose this while you are still learning the phrases and need a foothold.

How do you create a Q+A set?
When creating a new set, choose the Q+A type. Type the questions and answers in the target language — the AI can translate the native hints for you. Q+A is available in every plan, including Free.
