The Snappy method

How language learning works in SnappyCards

No magic — attention psychology: the Snappy method restarts your attention with every spin and brings back exactly the cards your language learning needs the most.

The spin that keeps your attention awake

SnappyCards doesn't show cards one by one like traditional flashcard apps. In Snappy mode three cards arrive at once with a slot-machine spin — and the moment you rate a card, the whole row spins again with fresh cards.

Every spin restarts your attention, so language learning never turns monotonous. On mobile the system automatically switches to a clean single-card view — the method stays the same.

Three buttons — that's all you do

Flip a card and say honestly where you stand:

  • I know the card leaves the rotation. Learned.
  • Unsure the card keeps coming back until you're confident.
  • I don't know the card shows up more often until it sticks.

No typing, no test stress: your own judgement drives the system, and it keeps bringing back the hard cards until they're all green.

Smart repetition — the system watches for you

Snappy mode is not blind chance. Three rules work in the background on every spin:

  • Due first. Cards due for review and cards you've never seen get priority in the draw.
  • Repeat protection. What you've just seen in the last rounds can't spin right back — other cards get their turn too.
  • Per-direction tracking. Knowing a word isn't symmetric: the system tracks both directions separately and measures your reaction time too.

Snappy mode or sequential?

Snappy mode is for daily practice: random order, smart repetition, maximum attention refresh.

In sequential mode you page through the cards in their fixed order at your own pace — ideal for a first read-through or working methodically through a chapter. Mastered cards leave the queue in both modes.

The goal: every card green

When you rate the last card as known, the round is complete. You can restart a set anytime, or downgrade a card that faded — the rotation picks up exactly where you need it. Whether you are learning English, German, French, Italian or Spanish, the method works the same — your vocabulary builds visibly faster.
