Describing character in Hungarian: stingy, hospitable, punctual
Hungarian builds many character adjectives by gluing words together: vendégszerető (hospitable) is vendég, a guest, plus szerető, loving, and társaságkedvelő (sociable) is társaság, company, plus kedvelő, liking. This B2–C1 English–Hungarian deck collects such words next to céltudatos (purposeful), fukar (stingy), önzetlen (unselfish) and parancsolgató (bossy).
Place and time words round it off: országos (countrywide), hazafelé (homeward) and időtlen (ageless). Long adjectives are easier to hear first: the first five cards (purposeful, fearsome, unsatisfactory, incurable, petrified) play without registering.
