Colours in English and Hungarian, from A0 to C1
From red to turquoise: this A0–C1 English–Hungarian deck starts with the basic colours (red, blue, green, yellow) and moves on to rarer shades such as crimson, teal, lavender and turquoise, together with the words that pin down a shade: dark, pale, bright.
If you are learning Hungarian, one pair of cards is worth noticing: red has two common Hungarian translations. Piros is the everyday red of an apple or a bus; vörös is closer to a deep red, as in a red sunset or red wine (vörösbor). The deck gives each its own card.
