Communication verbs in Hungarian
Most of these verbs are shown in the infinitive, which ends in -ni: egyetérteni is to agree, magyarázni is to explain and javasolni is to suggest. This A1–A2 English–Hungarian deck collects the verbs we use to say what we think, from hazudni (to lie) and viccelni (to joke) to hibáztatni (to blame) and említeni (to mention).
A useful Hungarian detail is that a verb like kérni (to ask for) changes its form depending on whether the object is definite, as in kérek egy kávét versus kérem a kávét. Before committing to anything, the first five cards (state, report, agree, record, hate) are open to you without registering.
