Household words in Hungarian
Many Hungarian household words describe what the thing does: a washing machine is a mosógép, a fridge is a hűtőszekrény (‘cooling cupboard’) and an alarm clock is an ébresztőóra (‘waking clock’). This A0–A1 English–Hungarian deck covers furniture (szék, asztal, szekrény), appliances (sütő, vasaló) and bathroom and bedroom things (tükör, párna, takaró).
