Insects and arachnids – A0–C1
This deck gives you precise names for garden and household insects and arachnids — from bees and butterflies to mosquitoes, bedbugs, and scorpions. You'll learn to tell similar creatures apart (wasp vs. bumblebee, ant vs. termite) and describe which ones bite or which are garden pests. Ranging from A0 to C1, the list moves from the most basic words to rarer, more precise terms. With 35 words, you'll confidently recognize and name them in a biology class, in the garden, or while watching a nature documentary.

Insects and spiders in Hungarian, from légy to skorpió
This A0–C1 English–Hungarian deck covers the small creatures of a Hungarian garden and kitchen: légy (fly), méh (bee), hangya (ant) and pók (spider), plus the ones that bite or sting – szúnyog (mosquito), darázs (wasp), kullancs (tick) and bolha (flea). Further in come rarer words such as kérész (mayfly), fülbemászó (earwig) and kabóca (cicada).
Try the first five cards – fly, bee, butterfly, cricket, flea – without registering. Hungarian names often build on a simpler word: szentjánosbogár (firefly) is literally ‘Saint John’s beetle’, and the katicabogár (ladybird) carries the girl’s name Katica; the ending bogár means ‘beetle’, which also helps with ormányosbogár (weevil).
