Particles and direction words – A0–A2

This pack teaches basic particles and direction words at A0–A2 level: up, down, in, out, over, through, and others. These short words are essential for giving directions (left, right, past, across) and understanding phrasal verbs like get up or come in. You'll learn to say where something is (inside, outside, above, below, beside) and describe direction and movement (forward, ahead, back, away). The 32 words are simple, frequent building blocks that most beginner-level English sentences rely on.

Direction words in Hungarian

Where English uses separate words such as in, on and to, Hungarian adds endings: -ban/-ben, -on/-en/-ön, -hoz/-hez/-höz. This A0–A2 English–Hungarian deck pairs them with free direction words: fel (up), le (down), balra (left), jobbra (right), vissza (back), mögött (behind), között (between) and felé (towards).

Hungarian also separates place from movement: fent and lent mean upstairs and downstairs, while fel and le show a move up or down. Try the first five cards (to, in, on, up, out) without an account.
