Places and buildings in Hungarian

Hungarian place names are often built from parts you can see: a lighthouse is a világítótorony, a ‘lighting tower’, and a playground is a játszótér, a ‘playing square’. This A0–A2 English–Hungarian deck covers buildings in town (könyvtár, múzeum, állomás), places for free time (park, stadion, állatkert) and the countryside and coast (vidék, tengerpart, móló).

One English word, castle, covers two Hungarian ones, vár (a fortified castle) and kastély (a manor house); this deck uses vár. Try the first five cards (path, apartment, stadium, kingdom, castle) without registering, with audio in English and in Hungarian.
