Hungarian prepositions and postpositions
English prepositions come before the noun, but Hungarian uses postpositions that follow it: a ház mellett is next to the house and cukor nélkül is without sugar. This A1–B1 English–Hungarian deck gathers the words for time, place and relation: óta (since), alatt (during), ellen (against), mentén (along), felé (toward), szerint (according to).
Between and among both translate as között, and the hint on each card tells them apart, while below, beneath and underneath all map to alatt. Open the first five cards (since, during, next to, without, against) without registering and hear how óta, alatt and mellett sound.
